One City Block is a gated community where people can live and enjoy themselves in relative luxury. Once within the gates of the community, the resident is not permitted to leave unless taking a paid for vacation. Upon arrival, residents are provided with 150 credits to spend within the community’s stores, restaurants, and travel agency.
Being a modern community, One City Block features wifi access, and residents are provided with laptops and cellular phones upon their arrival. Their credits are stored on a waterproof wristband which will be scanned for their purchases.
Residency
Residents will be provided housing and assigned to an apartment with one or two other residents. A three person residence is 10 credits per person per month. A two person residence is 15 credits per person per month. And, should the resident wish to upgrade to a private apartment, a fee of 35 credits must be spent each month. All residences come fully furnished though personal items can be purchased.
Travel Agency
The travel agency provides several locations that a character may travel such as the Beach, the Amusement Park, the Mountains, and the Ski Slope. The fee for a vacation is 50 credits for 2 IC days at the alternate location per character. While on vacation, the characters will be provided with lodging, food, and allowed to enjoy the area’s unique offerings.
Stores
One City Block offers a variety of stores for the convenience of the residents. They supply a variety of items the resident might need for their entertainment, and specialty items can be requested with priced to be determined.
Restaurants
There are several types of restaurants in the community. Meals range from simple fares of 5 credits to elaborate meals ranging up to 30 credits. Restaurants are considered a luxury as there is a small market where food can be acquired for cooking at home.
Entertainment
The gated community features a variety of free entertainments to keep the residents occupied. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, swimming pools, an arcade, and a movie theatre. If a type of entertainment is desired by a resident, a request can be put in to the management, and a community wide decision will be made with a small fee requested from the residents to fund the building project.
